Second Harvest Japan conducted our monthly hot meal program for evacuees from Fukushima prefecture on February 4^th.

This month’s menu included ankake yakisoba and grape jello.

We received the noodles as a donation from Shimadaya, and the base for the ankake sauce was donated by Ina Food Industry Co., Ltd. Thank you very much for your support.

We were very pleased to find that everyone who was served enjoyed their meal, and their smiles became our smiles!

On the way home, 2HJ staff and volunteers stopped at store which donates a portion of their profits to support victims of the Tohoku disaster and did a little shopping.

We hope that we were able to help support the disaster support effort in even a very small way.

A few of the people that we met at this shop mentioned that they had been recipients of 2HJ’s food support program and they thanked us warmly.
