The 18th Soup Kitchen at The Only Remaining Shelter
We held the 18th soup kitchen at the only remaining shelter of the Great East Japan Earthquake on December 9th.
The soup kitchen menu included Nikujaga (meat and potato stew), Subuta (sweet and sour pork), vegetable pickles, and miso soup with tofu and wakame (sea weed).
As the population of the shelter has been reduced significantly, we also invited neighboring residents to our soup kitchen.
Tomorrow, December 11th marks 2 years and 9 months since the Great East Japan Earthquake.
Refugees are sheltered inside of a high school building. It gets extremely hot in summer and extremely cold in winter.
Our thoughts are with them in this challenging season as the weather getting colder day by day.
Thanks to volunteers!
