Soon, it will be 2 years and 5 months from the earthquake.

Both disaster relief activities in Fukushima and media coverage on the disaster has been declining.

Although support and interest are declining, there are still 92,770 Tohoku earthquake survivors from Fukushima who are still evacuating. There are approximately 294,000 Tohoku earthquake survivors nationwide. (Numbers are from the Reconstruction Agency, retrieved in July 30, 2013)

There are 107 Tohoku earthquake evacuees at the shelter that Second Harvest Japan hosts a monthly soup kitchen.

We hope that in the near future, all Tohoku earthquake survivors will be able to live in peace.
