Food Loss Innovation Competition
Using surplus food to support those in need
We are looking for ideas to support our project, “Tokyo 2020: Food for 100,000.” The goal of this project is to create a food safety-net in Tokyo to support 100,000 people in need by 2020. While there are many ideas on reducing food loss, we are focusing on using this surplus to support those in need. Give us your idea and you might win up to ¥100,000.
Guidelines
1. Project should demonstrate:
➢ It will use surplus food
➢ It will directly support those in need
➢ It is potentially scalable
➢ It will serve those in need in Kanto (Saitama, Kanagawa, Chiba, and Tokyo)
2. Proposals must be received by midnight September 16th.
➢ Submit to Tokyo2020@2hj.org
➢ By mail to our office
3. The top five projects will present their proposal at our 10th Annual Food Bank Symposium on October 16th
4. This is open to individuals, schools, organizations, and companies.
5. Prizes:
➢ Gold: ¥100,000
➢ Silver: ¥50,000
➢ Bronze: ¥30,000
We look forward to hearing your ideas! If you have any questions, feel free to contact Tokyo2020@2hj.org
